After completing my PhD in Chemistry and Biology and spending years studying complex molecular systems, I asked myself a defining question: What is the most impactful way to use everything I know? The answer led me away from the laboratory and into the classroom. I realized that a struggling student isn't broken—they are simply waiting for someone to understand their learning system and unlock their potential.
Today, as the founder of Kalki Educational Services in Auckland, I tutor Year 7 to 13 students across Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology (NCEA & Cambridge) and teach abacus mental arithmetic to young learners. Teaching high-level science and foundational mental arithmetic is the most sophisticated work I have ever done. Watching a student shift from feeling written off to discovering their own capability is a feeling no solar cell or lab experiment ever gave me.

Coming from India, I deeply understand the dedication it takes to work hard for an education and carry a family's aspirations. I strive to be the teacher who sees potential in students before they see it in themselves—whether that means guiding a Year 13 student toward studying medicine or helping a younger child build concentration from scratch.
This mission was reaffirmed when I had the honor of speaking alongside New Zealand's Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon, on India’s Independence Day (15th August 2026) regarding scientific research and the future of education in this country. Connecting higher education, scientific rigor, and everyday classroom learning is where I am supposed to be. Every child deserves an educator who fights for them, and I choose to put my science into the classroom every single day.
